During 7th S Productions’ Opulence Season 3 New York Fashion Week Show in Manhattan, I got the chance to chat with Shahidda Candao.

She told me about, IDDA Collections, her debut line of designer clothing that showcases the stunning beauty and craftswomanship of Inawl.

Shahidda is a native of Maguindanao, a province of Southern Philippines, which is home to a weaving tradition known as Inawl. 

Originally crafted only for royalty, Inawl is being discovered on the global stage, preserving the distinct heritage and identity of the Maguindanaon people through its vibrant colors and intricate patterns.

With each creation, Shahidda is celebrating the strength and grace of personal transformation that draws from the inspiration of her family, her dynamic entrepreneurial career, and her limitless passion for community advocacy.
