When I decided to learn more about the USS Telesforo Trinidad, I had no clue I would end up meeting some of the highest-ranking Filipino Americans to serve in the U.S. military.
From them, I learned that duty, when chosen, becomes something powerful that drives you. Beyond any sense of obligation.

When I heard an important Filipino Christmas Mass was being celebrated in Phoenix, Arizona for the first time ever, I picked up my camera and headed to historic St. Mary’s Basilica for SIMBANG GABI.

All Saints’ Day
During my trip to Mexico City, I couldn’t help but take the chance to learn more about a special holiday known as Dia de Muertos.
Main reason being, this same celebration is also honored in the Philippines. 🇲🇽 ❤️ 🇵🇭

Shared History We Forgot
Before my recent trip to Mexico City, I discovered Doctora Paulina Machuca’s research about the forgotten history that closely ties together the culture and traditions of the Philippines with Mexico.
